Identifying a vintage butterscotch brush

The brush pictured below arrived today as part of an ebay purchase.

It looks to me as if it could well be a Simpsons #51 but I cant be 100% sure as the name 'Simpson' does not appear to be etched on the handle but the number 51, Best Badger, Made in England and Sterilised are.

If anyone is able to help me identify it then I would be most grateful.

It's going to need re-knotting, but I thought I'd check out exactly what I have before going to the expense of getting it re-knotted.

It sure looks like one! Nice pick up. How big is the knot?

It's a 19mm knot - the loft has been worn down to 34mm over what would appear to be many years of use - the hair still feels pillow soft though.

Looks like a Simpson to me. It's a beauty!
