Hello Gents,
About two years ago I bought a lot of three shaving brushes from a UK vendor, via the big auction site. I sent them to Simpson for clean-up and new Best Badger knots. Very happy with the results:
At least two of them are Simpson shaving brushes – one is a W3 (the ancestor of Commodore) and the other (the square one) is listed within a 1936 Simpson advertising.
I was, however, unable to identify one of the brushes (pictures below). No branding visible, the only markings are
I’m suspecting it’s also a Simpson brush and that the branding might have been on the now missing decal, however I’m not an expert and receiving more knowledgeable input on this would be highly appreciated. Anybody heard of a Simpson 78?
Many thanks in advance.
P.S.: I did asked Simpson (Anna & Mark) but they could not offer clarity on this.
