I have these hones I picked up at antique shops and would like help identifying them and will they work on my razors.
1st is gray/green and brown not very good pics
#2 I've seen a few reports on. It's similar to apart/swaty's from what I've heard. IE suitable finisher. Maybe a Pike?
#3 I believe is a Swaty. I vaguely recall some tale of a US manufacturer buying the Swaty recipe and continuing to produce "three-line" hones. Maybe my memory is failing though.
2 and 3 should both be fine razor finishers, I'd guess 9-11k.
Small stone is your best friend . you can use it and keep your blade shave ready which you are asking in another thread.
Don't use american three line hone on shave ready blade. That stone is for sharpening dull blades.
