Identification help for an old Gillette DE

My grandmom just found an old DE razor, which I plan on using (if y'all say it will be ok).

Not sure exactly what kind it is other than an old, copper Gillette that she thinks was my great-grandfaters. Here are some pictures, any help would be appreciated!

PS what kind of blades would fit this thing??

it´s a 1937 Sheraton. You can use normal DE blades.

Sheraton indeed. Nice razor! A little light for my tastes, but I've always found open comb TTOs mechanically attractive. This one needs a serious cleaning, but using a grandfather's razor is always cool. Congrats!

Wow that's awesome, thank you! Any recomendations on cleaning??

It looks like much of the plating has worn away, but as for the green gunk and general dirt and grime, hot water soak, then a scrub with dish soap or scrubbing bubbles usually does the trick.

...and the finish is 'soft' (eg, not-durable). So no abrasive cleansers, no vinegar, and no bleach.

It looks like it should clean up nicely. Enjoy.

Remember, If you decide to bring it back to its former glory, you can get it re-plated in gold.
Always great having an heirloom razor, better than a birth year razor.

It's beautiful and priceless. Those of us lucky enough to have heirloom razors know how happy you are. It's also very cool that Achim stepped up and identified this in like zero time.

Happy Shaves!

Very cool find, and a legacy to boot! Just shaved with my Sheraton for the first time earlier this week. A definite keeper.

You know I had one in superb condition, shaved with it once, then set it out for looks and never used it again. Sold it this summer, and now I wish I hadn't. I wasn't a fan of the open comb then, but the Bull Mastiff NEW has changed my opinion. Now I think I'd the Sheraton more, even though it's lighter than I'm used it. Either way, these are really neat pieces of machinery.
