ID confirmation: Aristocrat in a New Box, right?

I came across this one in an antique store today. I've never seen an Aristocrat in person, so to speak, but this looks like one. Code W2. I was a bit confused because it came in this Gillette New box. A mis-match, right?

I don't really collect boxes or wrapped blades, but it came as a package.

So it's an Aristocrat, right? W2 is 1951? Looks like this one in the Wiki

BTW, it's in way better shape than the pics show. Some lacquer wear on the silo corners, but you have to hold it to the light or use a loupe to notice, really.

These days I usually keep to my straight razors, but this was too nice to leave sitting on the shelf.

I just cleaned up and Barbicided an Aristocrat just like that one. Can't wait to get a blade in there and give it a spin! It'll be my first run with one, too.

How'd you clean up? I don't want to take off any lacquer, etc. I was thinking scrubbing bubbles with the old tootbrush, then an overnight soak in barbicide.

nice catch! The case is from a 1930 NEW Oxford, the blades are from the 20s
