My three Rockets (gold, nickel, and Aristo Jr.-flat-bade-bed-type) are all in Canadian clear plastic over red plastic boxes (with "Rocket" on the clear cover - see Mr. Razor's 1949 Rocket pic). Razors made in England, blade and boxes made in Canada, by Gillette of Canada. All three of my Rockets read "Made in England" on the underside; the flat blade bed razor has the 4300300 (from memory, I might be remembering wrong...), the two others are "patent pending."
I hadn't looked closely before, but Mr. Razor's cased 1949 Rocket is in a Canadian case, same as his 1951 "no 'made-in'" Rocket.
So - to review: my gold Rocket is in a clear-over-red plastic case from Canada.
Don't know what yours originally came in...!
So the question is what is the Correct Case for the Gold Rocket.? Is is the Clear over red Plastic from canada or is it something that we have never seen?
I know of the red case but I just saw one on the bay with a blue case that I was bidding on less than a week ago.

My gold Rocket came in the clear/red case that said "Rocket" on it.
Watch that gold plating. It is extremely thin.
