So I tried feathers for the first time the other day in my flare tip SS, tonight I tried them in my fatboy dialed back to 3. Hot Damn! Even on the problem areas on my neck I almost felt like I should check to see if the blade was in there right, strike that, I felt I should check to see if the blades was in there AT ALL!. I thought the Feathers were an improvement in my SS? I got the best shave I can recall tonight with them in my fatboy, tomorrow I'm dialing it up to 4! These blades just glide over my problem areas like the blade isn't even in there! I had VERY little burn, just a touch on my lower lip where I know I made too many passes trying to get the hairline just right. I do need to make sure I keep a nice slick lather though. I did my cheekbones first as they have light growth and they're hard to screw up and found the blades skipped easier than the others I've used but a shake of a wet hand into the cup solved that. I only tried a couple blades before this, but man if another blade can top these I don't know how they'd do it! *LOL*

I have to agree. I've been using Feather's the most lately. Everytime I switch to a different blade, I end up with irritation and bumps. I'd love to use other blades because they are cheaper per blade. However, if a Feather is the one, then that's what you have to go with! I hope they don't stop making these things in our lifetimes.
I love feathers.They are my fav!

Well I have exercised caution, I started with a nice safe Blue Bird. I started with my fatboy on 3. I waited a good month before cracking open a Feather. Tonight I opened my fatboy up to 4 and if anything have LESS razorburn than I did yesterday on 3! I think I may be stupid and try for 5 tomorrow! 
Even my problem areas are no longer problem areas with these blades. Now I need to start shopping for a couple 100 packs of them!

feathers tend to dull fast for me, which is unfortunate because I love them so....
still even if I get 3 shaves from one blade it is not a bad value

I too recently tried the feathers, had heard horror stories of how sharp they are and you shouldnt start using them unless you have been shaving for a while. Well I waited about a month and said lets see what theyre all about......WOW! no tugging no irritation and only a slight burn in places with too many passes. I followed up the next week with the Astra superior platinums and gotta say these were pretty similar just a lil more tugging but no burn. Im hesitant to keep trying new blades now because these two have worked so great!
After going thru most in my blade sampler, I keep going back to the Feather. I like others too, like the Personna Lab Blue and the Astra...but the Feather is what I purchased my first 100 pack (Actually 200 pack to be split w a friend). I found a guy on this site that comes highly recommended; dridiot
I sent him a PM and he immediately got back to me...just like everyone on this board said he would. His quote, shipped to the US, was cheaper than anything you'll find on ebay, Amazon, or any other the other online stores. Shoot him a note, you'll likely be surprised. Only downside, it comes from Singapore so I'm still waiting...but it's only been a week. He clearly told me it would be 10-14 days. Good Luck!

Oh yeah, I've ordered stuff from eastern Asia before. It takes forever, but it gets here. The nice part though is that by the time you get it you may have forgotten you ordered it so it's a surprise! *LOL* I will have to drop him a line, thank you for the recommendation!
