What's new

I recieved my group buy Ted Pella SE blades.

I just wanted to thank BrianW for putting this together and sending out all of the blades. These group buys make purchasing large quantities a bit more affordable.:biggrin1::thumbup:

Which one is the lather catcher? I have not yet seen a picture of one of these... But I want one, if for no other reason than because it's the original :biggrin1:

The first one on the bottom row in his picture was patented in 1914, and has been nicknamed the Little Lather Catcher, it's one of my favorite SE's. For pictures of the original LC search the B/S/T for Kampfe or lather catcher for pictures.

I see you are definitely a Gemocrat !!!!!!

Yep, I had a 1912 for 2 years before actually trying it recently. I used the OCMM about a month ago and I thought that all of you Gem users are nuts and then I saw a post on here about how good the 1912 was and then "BAM" I tried it and loved it. Lately i've been giving all of my unusual razors some "face time" so to speak, like my Valet and my Rolls and my Durhams and my straights. I usually use my many Gillettes daily but I'm starting to mix things in weekly. I'm starting to get the hang of the Rolls Razor, the thought of actually being able to use one razor forever and never spend a dime on blades or strops and hones was probably very important during wartime.

I don't think any of those are suitable. I suggest you pick up a few more and see if any of the new ones will work out. :biggrin1:

I'd use the handle from the one on the bottom left with the head from any of the three right-most razors in the bottom row.
