I need your expertise!

Hi

I'm very interested in the history of shaving and was wondering if any of you guys know much about the past of Thiers Issard. I'm struggling to find much, I'm specifically looking to find out when they were most popular?

Thanks a lot.
Jonny

Well, they were founded in 1884, and the Safety Razor began to be widely adopted around WW1 and shortly thereafter, so the 1890s-1910s would have been my guess, but wiki says the company prospered even after the founder Pierre Thiers death in 1929, so the 30s would probably be a good bet, as I'm guessing WW2 put a damper on French manufacturing, and there probably was less demand for straight razors afterward.

Sorry to ask the obvious but:
Did you contact Thiers Issard?
There is a contact page with a form and email address on the French website. Maybe this would be a better start.
