I need an offspring of the Simpson Duke1 and PJ1

So I have a Duke 1, Duke 2 and PJ2 in BB. The Duke 2 handle is the most comfortable but the knot it just too big for me. Too much splay. The Duke 1 handle has a smaller knot but still splays a bit too much for me. The handle isn't as comfortable as the Duke 2, but not bad. I love the PJ1 knot, great backbone and not a lot of splay. Perfect size for me. However the handle is just too thin. Get a hand cramp every time I use it. I face lather 100% of the time, BTW.

Does anyone know of a Simpson in BB with a knot similar to the PJ1 but with a handle thicker like the Duke 1/2?

You are in New York. Have you considered going to a local Simpsons dealer and looking them over?

Duke 2 in 2 band? same handle, less splay due to the 2 band. I don't have one but I seriously considered it recently...

i'm only able to go by photos since there aren't any places close by to see the brushes, but i do have similar sentiments regarding the Duke 2.

For best grade hair i'd think the classic, commodorex1, milk churn, keyhole, case, and special(might be too thin as well, but it does look thicker than a berkley) would be good ones to start with.

Of the brushes i've tried in comparison to a duke 2
Berkley- You'll find the handle too thin
Colonel- Good sized handle, but you will probably find the knot larger or equal to the duke 2
2 band or pure may be the way to go if you're not willing to compromise and it has to be a Simpson's.
