Ok I have purchased lots of razors, soaps, and creams. So the only thing left is to try a new brush. I have been using the same brush from the beginning. My first and only brush is the C & E BBB that was recommended several years ago. I would like to see what is out there.....any suggestions. I prefer tabac soap that I lather in the bowl and also like creams that I lather up in my custom bulldog scuttle. Thanks for the help.

What is your budget? Shavemac 177, Kent 8, whippeddog, are all good choices.

Do you have a preference when it comes to hair? I love my vie long peleon and my semogue 1460 boar. Both are very good brushes. I am a face latherer, so you will probably want to get the 1800 semogue over the 1460. The peleon is great for both bowl and face.

Just speaking from my point of view, you can't go wrong with a Vulfix 2234. I've found it to be my most used brush in my 5 brush rotation, and I've found everything about it to be great.
