I've gone back to bowl lathering--I had recently switched to face--now that I've acquired a good badger brush (Kent BK2). I've watched many videos and read lots of essays on technique, but I have just now learned how important it is to start lathering with a relatively drier--at least not water-laden--brush. I'm making better lather than ever. The badger brush seems a big improvement over the Omega Boar hair brush I will now use only when I travel.
