What's new

I just won this on ebay. Not sure of year or model.

Gentlemen,

I just won this item on ebay for $14.00. The description said there was no date code on the head. I assume this means it was made from 1930 to 1950? Any informed opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, this is a Regent set, but it's worth pointing out that the dates that Achim has on his site should not be taken to mean that those are the only dates a particular set was made. In most cases he's trying to date the manufacture of the exact set that he has as closely as possible.

Looking at the bottom of the guard plate on craig's razor it looks like it doesn't have the patent numbers there, so it is probably still a fairly early model.

I love those sets, its a very nice presentation, also love how everything sits so well in this case, all parts are recessed into place, Great set and its always under priced ) and the comb heads on these are nice as well, Solid Long or Short Comb? Not flimsy like the regular old type heads. Congrats on such a nice set )

As always dully noted and appreciated the info.

Thanks MacDaddy.
Mr pedro, you are making a killing lately.

I won a 1929 NEW and shined it right up. I tried it and found it too aggressive, but that could have been from the blade. I'll try it again. Let us know what you think of it.

Just an update to this. What an awesome shave. How is it with all this technology that an 82 year old razor gives me the best shave of my life. I am so glad I discovered the right way to shave.

P.S. This place rocks!

Amazing, isn't it? (The razor, that is . . . we all know B&B is a great place to hang out!)
