I hit the mother lode today

I stopped by a locally owned drug store today, the only locally owned one in town, I think. Here's what they had on the shelf:

Metal cased Schick injector blades
Gem Blue Star Single Edge blades
Wilkinson Sword Classic DE blades
Gem Personna Single Edge blades

Of course, I bought them all. What's the difference between the two Gems? I'm guessing the Blue Star is blued steel while the Personnas are stainless. The Blue Stars were a dollar cheaper. Anyone prefer these? Someone tell me I didn't just buy boxcutter blades

Outstanding! Yes, the Blue Stars are carbon steel and they are intended for shaving. Carbon steel tends to corrode and lose their sharpness rather quickly if they aren't dried thoroughly after each use.

How many injector blades did you find? I've been hitting the little out of the way grocery stores and drugstores in search of those.

^ They had perhaps 3 or 4 packs of every type of blades mentioned. Odd, there were no aftershaves or soaps besides canned fusion gel type stuff.

I was shocked to buy two Chinese Schick Injectors at a Walgreens today. Unfortunately, they were in the clearance bin.....
The Blue Stars are very hard to find these days.....

That is the motherlode. Just think of all the small towns that may have all these nice goodies waiting for a traditional wet shaver.
