What's new

I have never used...

... a straight razor
If it weren't for the maintenance of said style of razor, I'd definitely own one... a few ... too many straights 😬

... a horse hair brush.
(I'll fill this gap in 2024).

... a GEM or an injector razor.

... the Veg. 🤢
Lord beware. I have smelled it once. Why would any sane person smear this stuff on one's face? 🤷‍♂️

Other than that, I have visited almost every wet shaving related rabbit hole.
And, as it appears, more than often I came to stay 😜😄

Cheers!

I have not used 98% of the popular stuff.

I run a Merkur 34C, a feather artist club straight, have settled on gilette platinums for DE and feather blades on the straight... and my entire collection is stirling. so everything outside that... never tried!!

Haven't tried Proraso green yet. Will some day as I'm not sure I like the red sandlewood. The scent I mean. I shaved with it today and it rocks.

With the number of manufacturers available to the global wet shaving community, it would be much easier to list the things I have used.

ARKO
Chiseled Face
Tabac
MORE Arko
Captain's Choice
Stirling
Cella
MORE Arko
Colonel Conk
MORE Arko
RazoRock
MORE Arko

Mitchell's Wool Fat
Haryali

And I'm sure I have missed plenty.

Never used this until about a month ago.

I have never used ...
  1. A Gillette Fatboy
  2. A Gillette Slim Adjustable
  3. TOBS
  4. Schick Krona
  5. About 3,493 shave soaps/creams

But, hey, it's early yet. ;)

Yes you can safely assume that. It could be that I'm a tightwad, or because my parents taught me not to be wasteful. Probably a combination of the two.
Also, in my experience, some blades feel smoother after the first shave.
No tightwads here at B&B, we refer to them as frugal.:001_smile
I do agree that some blades, do in fact, feel better after the first shave.

Cheers, friend!

I'm going to knock two off of the list. Landed some Tabac and Wool Fat via the St. Sue Auction. Since this is going to be the last auction for Sue, I'm glad I got in on it.
