I get all teary eyed...

I dont know why, but for some reason I always get sad when I am done shaving and still have all that amazingly scented, luxurious, lubrucant lather on my brush and in my scuttle... I can hardly stand to let it go down the drain :crying:. Is there a cure?

Use it to wash the rest of your face.

a cure? 1000+ posts and you'll be fine!!!

I kinda massage it into my hands - washes them and keeps them fairly soft and doesnt waste all my pretty lather.

Another good suggestion! Maybe I'll just take a 2nd shower after my shave but wait, no, then I'd want to shave again and i'd be right back where I started...

Yep. It works like a charm. Just put a little on there and rub it with a dry towel until you can see through the film clearly. The soap, as it has been explained to me, acts to prevent adhesion of water droplets on the surface of the mirror.

Also, it leaves the mirror clear in case you were wondering. I do it in patterns to mess with Mrs. Dubbya from time to time.

If you've got time, and the lather has been slick enough, you could just do a few more passes to eliminate all remaining stubble and achieve BBS...

It's a wonderful paradox: to have enough lather for a proper shave, you have to have too much lather. If you don't have too much, you won't have enough.

I use the remainder of the lather left in my luxurious Shavemac for my final rinse to wash my face. Its such a great feeling washing your face with the mix of hot lather & warm water.
However, I could see someone using SMN cream & watching that lather swirl down the drain and thinking to themselves " damn that has to be at least $5 dollars worth of lather going right down the drain"

I usually squeeze out the brush, fingersweep my lather bowl, and spread it all on my face after a warm water rinse. Moisturizes, lets the scent linger a bit more, and for some reason it seems to stop the tiny nicks from bleeding. I use this time to clean up the den.

Cold water rinse well if you use balm, though, my face can feel like an over basted turkey if I'm hasty...

+1
That's what I do. Also, by squeezing it out of the brush, it becomes much quicker to rinse the brush clean.
