What product stands out as something that, for whatever reason, you just never got around to trying? Whether it leaves you befuddled or embarrassed, what's the most glaring omission among the products you've already tried?

For me, it's any Taylor soap. Tried lots of their creams, some a/s's, and colognes, but haven't hit one of their soaps yet. (What are they like?)

What's the first one on your list?

Poraso

Before last month it was Speick Soap - I felt like an idiot for missing that one for so long. It was a major DUH moment.

Well, I'm so damn new to this, I really shouldn't answer.

But of course I will anyway,

I guess in terms of quality and perceived popularity in this group, I have never tried any creams or soaps from (all tied for first place on my list) Proraso, AOS, TOBS, or Truefitt and Hill.

The only creams and soaps I have used are: Tabac, Edge in a tube, VDH, Geo. Trumpers Lime soap, Arko shave stick and Kiss My Face unscented.

Sad I know, but everything else is still a mystery to me.

I have TOBS Lavender soap and quite like it. It probably isn't the best triple milled soap going around but for the price you can't go wrong IMO.

Up untill last month never tried Trumper Skin Food. Bought an almost new bottle in the shave mall, (Lime). But thats the only higher dollar balm I have ever bought.
I wonder if I'm missing anything sometimes:scared:

VdH? I have a puck of VdH, in the deluxe version I think. It is the pink stuff that smells like Grey Flannel, isn't it? Somehow I've yet to try it.

But twisting this into "you can't believe that I never tried it" brings Proraso to mind. While I appreciate most scents to one degree or another (Pommard?), eucalyptus puts me right off. So I am unlikely to ever try that cream.

Castle Forbes SC-and getting a shave at a barber shop (I know it's not a product, but something I always wanted to do-and never did). Now I want to learn to shave with a str8 razor!!!!

No cream or soap would qualify for me. It's not the most interesting aspect of wetshaving, and as long as I've got something that works, I don't really feel that I *have* to try anything else. All witch hazels, after shaves, and colognes are completely optional, IMHO. If you like them, fine, but not a must try.

Maybe an EJ/Muhle razor. I don't think I've seen less than a rave review for these. It doesn't befuddle or embarrass me, but it does make me think that maybe I should try one, some day.

Merkur Progress razor. Another one that seems to inspire some pretty fanatical loyalists.

Or maybe a scuttle. I prefer face lathering over bowl lathering, but maybe the warm lather thing would make a difference.

Some NOS blades were in this category, but now I've got Gillette Spoilers, Personna 74 DE, and Personna 74 injector blades waiting to be tried. Okay, I haven't tried them yet, but I own them.

Gentlemens best.
Despite the consistent high ratings it receives, I have not yet tried it.
I vow to make that change and give it a whirl.
