Never thought it would happen in a million years, I think my wife's joining the DE army. On Saturday, she mentioned that she wanted to try one of my DE's to shave her legs. I thought she was kidding at first, but she kept on insisting. So, I set her up with an Astra SP in my Krona (the longest-handled razor I own). I explained proper blade angle and so forth to her. Lo and behold, she loved it! She said she didn't get hardly any of the irritation she normally gets using her old Schick Hydro. Of course, when you think about it, women automatically have good shave prep down, since their legs are soaking in a tub of hot water the whole time. I was curious about how the blade would hold-up after shaving both legs, and she did mention that there was some tugging/pulling near the end. Not surprising, since there's so much more ground to cover compared to shaving a face. I told her that even if she used a new blade every time, its cheaper than using carts. Plus, I told her that there's lots more blades to try before she has to settle on something.
