Humbled by a New Improved...

Well, I feel pretty ridiculous tonight. My first DE experience was with a New Improved, and I remember the shaves being fairly decent. I haven't picked one up since I got my first DE's of my own (the New Improved was borrowed). Well, I finally own one of my own, and so I was stoked to use it.

I went into the shave thinking 'pfft, this'll be a piece of cake. I learned on one of these, so I'm a pro at it.' Survey says....WRONG!!! While I got an incredibly close shave, I had 10 weepers!!! I haven't had nearly that many in months!!! I felt so new...


I learned the meaning of the word humble today.

This is actually, believe it or not, my favorite Gillette design.

Noice... I have to be careful when I use my old type or Hoffritz compared to the NEW... Good stuff!

For some reason, the Gillette open comb three piece razors give me great shaves, and bite me if my technique is sloppy.

I can be a little careless with a Tech and not pay every time, but with a New? Bad technique = Styptic workout.
