How's this for a starter kit?

I assembled a kit for a friend. A Simple Clean Shave razor, Yaqi Timberwolf brush, matching 345 Soap Company soap and splash, a few good blades, and some CC samples. My first inclination was to go with Proraso red, but I changed my mind.

What do you guys think?

When it comes to these things it's 100% YMMV. My favorite blade might be your blade from hell. Seems like a good kit to me.

If he is starting out he might need some alum as well.

A thoughtful gift with some great blades. I have never used tight Lines soap or an Arco stick, yet.

Very generous and thoughtful. Great entry level kit that was built for success and hopefully some fun. I only wish someone had given me something similar 35 years ago.

Nice, balanced kit, covering all the bases.

A particularly impressive choice of blades there too!

Bonus points again for the arko! stick. That will learn 'em.

Thanks for the votes of confidence guys. I was aiming for a kit that would be easy/safe to use but also be able to provide a top quality shave a veteran shaver could appreciate. I think I did well.
