How to pronounce Truefitt?

Is it just mushing "True" and "Fit" together?

Perhaps emphasis on the E? "TruEh-fit"

Maybe "truffit"

I feel like I'm always saying it different because I don't know which is correct!

One can never be too sure with English surnames - some of which have the most bizzare pronunciation imaginable. For example...

Cholmondeley is pronounced "Chumley"
Beauchamp is pronounced "Beechum"
Majoribanks is pronounced "Marshbanks"
and (my favourite)
Fetherstonhaugh which is pronounced "Fanshaw"

Ideally someone should ask the company (I wouldn't at all be surprised if it were "Truff-it")

Place names are even worse - a village along from here is Baughurst, I've never heard anyone say it so I've no idea how it's pronounced, that 'gh' could be an 'f' - things were much easier back home in Wales where all the place names are phonetic, and we've only half a dozen surnames between us :)

:thumbup1:Funny isn't it

When I pronounce it I usually mimic a British accent, that way I disguise the way I am saying it; just on the off chance that i'm wrong!

The narrator gives us her take on pronunciation in the first few seconds of the video,
but the master barber manages to avoid saying the brand name for the next 4 minutes!

Thanks for posting that...it's nice to get a glimpse of the shop, since I've never been there. That was actually the Sales & Marketing Manager doing the talking. Ironically, his name is Barber.
