How to keep ice cream fresher

I recently figured out that if I put a piece of saran wrap over an open tub of ice cream, and put the lid on top of that, my ice cream won't get freezer burn. So simple:thumbup1:
Thought this might be useful to others as well.

Ice cream that gets freezer burn? Must not be good ice cream.

Seriously, this does work, but when we do buy ice cream, it doesn't stick around long enough to get freezer burn.

Are we talking ice cream in a container in a paper bag in the freezer, or just ice cream in a paper bag?

I don't understand the problem. How can there be ice cream which lasts more than a day or so in the freezer? does not compute.

I always have to tell people do not store in the front freezer put in the chest freezer.
I never forget my daughter saying .. "It can't burn in a freezer its cold"

Ice cream loses all nutritional value within 48 hours of your purchase. It must be eaten within that timeframe. Saran wrap is for putting on your neighbors toilet seat while he is cooking burgers and drinking beer.
