How to dry out shaving cream

I am working on getting through all my software and I have a couple tubes of cream I need to use. I would like to dry them out so I can use them like a soft soap and load from the tubs. Is there a quicker way to do this other than just leaving the lid off for a few months?

I've done this with several creams. I typically just squirt them into the bowl I intend to use, and leave them open to dry for two to three weeks. If you're in a hurry, spread the cream in a thin layer on a piece or two of wax paper and leave them out to dry. Then scrape it off and press into your bowl; this takes only a day or two. Obviously the more surface area that's exposed to air, the quicker the cream will dry. If you're in a super hurry, put it on wax paper and use a food dehydrator - takes only a few hours.

Just let time do its thing.
You could try to find a place that blows warm dry air like behind a computer to accelerate the process.
But beware of getting your cream all dusty.

A refrigerator will work great. Spread the cream on a plate, thin and even. Put it in the refrigerator uncovered for about 5-6 days. Scrape it off the plate and pack it in a bowl.

If you place the cream into a bowl in a well ventilated area, it should dry quickly. Keep in mind, that if you do a thick piece of soap, it will take a lot longer than if you do a thin, flat piece.
