How to apply splash on's

Ok, Im sure this has been asked a ton of times, but I could not find it (post final celebration, so im kinda useless).

I got a bottle of splash on British Sterling, which has a light powdery smell to it. I put some on and I cant smell it for very long (adaptation of olfaction). So, I was wondering, how do you properly apply a splash on cologne. How much do you use? A few drops, a palmfull, ect. I know to place it on pulse points, but I cant get the amount down, I either use too much or not enough.

i havethis problem with just about every cologne i use... try using what you know is to little, then moving up by small amounts, until you hit the jackpot

I usually dump out a little into my palm - much like I would with an A/S - then just dab my index & middle fingers into it for application. One dab per application "point" - works well to get it where you want it without overdosing on it.

Yes, I got a little tired of this routine with splash bottles to I sent away for some 10ml glass atomizers.

It's trial and error til you get the right amount. I use my index finger and try to make sure I get the point behind the ear. I also put some on inside of wrists.

It's all in the name: you pour enough of it into your cupped palm to be able to SPLASH it onto your face.

I have the worst luck with Alt Innsbruck. Everytime i go to pour a little out it runs down the side of the bottle. The stuff isn't real easy to come by and it's expensive. I guess i'll have to look into the atomizers myself

As far as dispensing the splashes, the Tabac bottle has a great little opening and if I tip it down real quick then back up, I get just the ideal "splort" (this is equivalent to a few drops ) into my palm. If the splort is properly and quickly done, you won't have dribbles. Tabac's great dispenser design also helps in this regard! From there, a dab on my sternum is all I use of it------it's strong stuff.
