How often do you change your blade?

Generally 2 or 3 shaves then toss them. I know I could probably get more but I'd rather not risk irritation at the price blades are.

On average, 5-6 times. I just finished shave no. 15 on a Personna 74 injector blade and it was a comfortable shave indeed.

This really varies by blade type, blade brand and effort put into prep.

DEs - 3, 4 max - just not worth the risk - blades are inexpensive.

SEs - 5, 6 - depending on strop-ability and my general laziness.

5-6 shaves. It is hard to keep track sometimes as I have at least 2 DE's in rotation at all times. Sometimes more.

5-6 times if I shave every other day using derbys. If I'm lazy and don't shave for awhile 3-4 times.

Usually I get 2-4 shaves out of a blade; 2-3 when I want it very close and go for a 3-pass + touch-ups and 3-5 when I go for a 2-pass shave.

The less sharper blades tend to laste a little longer than the sharper ones.
The use of proraso pre seems to get one extra shave out of a blade too.

Considering the price of blades, 3 times is a policy I have for DE shaving as my tough beard prevents me from getting much more shaves. However, I had blades last for as many as 7 shaves but why endure the lack of smoothness?

I shave every other day so only 2-3 depending on blade. More than that requires extra passes or touchups that I'd rather avoid.

I can push it to four or five, but I usually change blades after three shaves. They're cheap and it's not like you have to wring the most out of a $4 cartridge.

With Feathers and my medium heavy beard and three pass shaves I usually get four really god shaves and can go to five. It's a bargin any way you look at it !!!

Depends. I usually get 3 shaves sometimes 4. Occasionally I only get 2. Mind you these are blades out of the same package.

I have a few really low quality blades that I will shave once with, then toss. If I have a really nice blade that I want to use for a while, I'll use one of the cheapies to make my first pass, then follow with the nicer blade.

But most get 3-4 shaves before tossing. However, I can get 15 with a Personna 74.

Currently using Derby Extra - seem to get 4-6 out of them.

Going to try corking them for the next run and see if that helps.
