Okay, we are talking about the width of the spine, right?
What's the measurement for the top of the spine to the edge of the blade. Basically, how wide and not thick the blade is. Or, is this that measurement?

No, not the thickness of the blade, the width of the blade from edge to spine.
A 5/8 or 8/8 blade would be pretty hard to shave with if it were the thickness!!
