It's split so long and so far that the head won't stay in on its own. I want to rescue it if I can and probably PIF it to a newbie here. Thanks in advance!
How do I repair a New with a completely split barrel?

epoxy and hose clamps
Tape over any holes you don't want epoxy in (i.e. the threaded hole) and tape the barrel itself to keep the clamps from scratching

Thanks Tele! I'm going to the hardware store today anyway, so I'll pick up some epoxy.
I have a drawer full of old NEW handles, send me a PM.
