How did I do?

I just picked this up from an antique store today. It looks alright to me but I know nothing of straight razors. Does it need a restore job? Is it worth it?

Looks very nice. I'm no restorer, but I suspect the detail may even be able to be maintained. I'd probably just hone it and use it, but I'm sure if you did have it restored it would come out looking ace.

I'd say hone and go, but you could probably shine her up with metal polish. That's about as far as I'd go. Doesn't look like she'd take too much to hone, either.

What kind of metal polish? Maas? Brasso?

I use MAAS myself - don't think I've ever tried anything else, though.
