Now you know how us Clubman fans feel!!
That whole "old man" thing irritates the crap out of me.
It only means that the person who is saying it has a father that used to wear something that smelled like it.
Ask her if her dad was such a flub that he couldn't even pick out a decent scent, what does that say about the job he did raising her?

Yes, but Knize actually smells good...
The funny thing is she likes Brut, says it reminds her of her grandpa and she enjoys when I wear it too.

Just tell her that old men can generally afford to pay more then young men for the transient pleasures that young women provide, so she should be glad you are emulating one.

One of those older gentlemen smells damn nice.
Allz I'm saying is I have never had a young lady friend complain about any of my scents in any way.

What are your scents?
Maybe your lady friend has no taste or sense of smell?
YSL's Nuit De L'Homme has been my goto for a while. I mix it up with Comme Des Garcons 2 and I'm switiching for summer to a scent I had made for me by I Hate Perfume here in NYC.
As you can see by the design of the bottles, the scents are quite modern, masculine, and slightly dark.

Very cool. I heart YSL stuff. Some of it. I only have Opium in the collection. You have a custom scent, eh? How does that work? You tell them what you like or do they tell you what will work good on your skin or what? What does that cost?
I love everything about YSL right now, If I had unlimited $$ I would be getting my girl this for next winter:
As for custom scents its about knowing what your want out of your scent; I like darker scents but wanted something light for summer, something that wouldn't clash with grass but was woody, something that was "new york" and something for all day ware then a touch up and i would be good to go at night as well (I actually had two scents made as a day/ night pair). After that its allot of sniffing, allot of talking, allot more sniffing, a little bit of trial and error and some waiting. Like all custom things, I'm sure you could pay as much as you want. It was not cheap but it was affordable and a good investment, I can't remember exactly but it was around 200-300 all in (I also got a bit of a discount due to a personal connection).
