How aggressive are bulldogs?

So, before I find out for myself how aggressive are they? I don't want to chop up my face with a super iridium if they're the equivalent to a 17 setting on a fatboy or something lol. Gotta look presentable for Valentine's day =P

Depends on how they're raised, really.... Okay, that was bad!
