honing a warped razor ( not a lot )

I was wondering,

I honed the razor with no tape it felt like sand paper shaving, so I re-honed it using one thickness on one side and 2 on the other side to lift the bevel bit, I did get a somewhat even bevel, the HHT was ok.

the shave was ok, better then earlier, so the question is do you or don't you hone a warped razor, and do you use it?

I do hone them, I do use them. Use a rolling X with one or no layers of tape and you should be good to go.
