Trying to dream up what to get friends as Christmas gifts and came up with the idea of homemade bottles of Irish Cream when I went liquor shopping for my wife's homemade chocolate truffles. I've seen some with egg and without, not sure which would be best. I was going to try this one I found on the intarwebz.
I picked up a case of 1L bottles w/ swing tops and will use Jamesons as the base. I might also try a "Cajun Cream" w/ Bourbon
Anyone got their own winning recipe after years of trial and error that they'd be willing to share?
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 – 1 2/3 cups Irish whiskey
- 1/2 T espresso
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
