Homemade Alcolado

I love Alcolado.
I can only find it on the East Coast.

After sniffing and sniffing and sniffing this stuff I think that besides water & colorants, Alcolado has 3 ingredients:

alcohol, menthol, and...my best guess...lime essential oil.

Putting a few drops on glass---don't see any residue from any conditioners (I hear they use it as a sort of Caribbean Windex).

Can anyone give me a guideline on how much crystalline menthol to start with in formulating AS?

Has anyone else tried this?

figuring the amount of menthol is the easiest part, getting the right kind of alcohol is harder...if you want a really pure scent, you want to stay away from rubbing alcohol or vodka and get some good stuff...perfumers alcohol...add a half teaspoon of pure vegetable glycerin to a quart of perfumers alcohol, then start with half a teaspoon of crystals...it will dissolve rapidly...take a splash, not enough "freeze" ? add more crystal until you get it right....a quarter teaspoon of apricot kernal oil will give more moisturization, and 2-4 drops of lime oil for scent, but lavender, wintergreen, etc. can also be used...want severe freeze? add a quarter teaspoon of pure peppermint oil (not extract)...

What would be the difference between a low congener-content alcohol like ever clear or skyy and perfumer's alcohol?

My issue with denatured alcohols has always been propanol as a denaturant---I hate the smell of propanol. I'm assuming SD-40B or perfumer's alcohol uses something different
