Smell Bent has done some great holiday frags that I enjoy wearing over the holidays. Scrooge the Pooch is one of my favorites - an unlikely one at that - with an orange opening that segues nicely into a patchouli. But it's not that simple: "A holiday chypre – blood orange, aged patchouli, vanilla resin, bay leaf, poplar bud, natural oakmoss and classic musk." The orange lingers for a while and at first it's a bit much but as it dies down the rest of it ramps up and somewhere in the middle it's pretty darn good.
Slumberhouse Norne will be making another appearance as well - given all the fir notes. Others I like to wear this time of year are Epicea by Creed and Fille en Aiguille by Serge Lutens.
I won't be asking for anything, though. I think I've had enough...
I picked up some Kiton black, Guerlain vetiver, Burberry london, Tom Ford grey vetiver, and a bunch of samples. On Christmas day I think I'll wear Burberry London or Chergui by Serge Lutens.
I asked for a bottle of Amouage Tribute Attar for Cristmas. Although I didn't open it, I noticed a package arrive last week from Lucky Scent. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
