Howdy, brush heads! I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself for those that don't know me (or pretend that they don't!).
I joined B&B three years ago after many years of unsatisfactory shaves. I learned to shave with a DE back in the 60's (that's 1960s for you youngsters), but dropped it in favor of canned goo, cartridges, and electric razors. When I finally came to my senses, I found this place and I haven't left. My shaving has gone from a painful chore to a delightful daily ritual!
As far as my brushes, I'm a vintage brush junkie! Almost all of my collection are brushes that I've found for pennies or a few dollars at junk shops or flea markets, cleaned them up, and restored them with new badger knots. I have a huge fondness for vintage gear...most of my razors and fountain pens are also my age or older! That being said, I'm thoroughly enjoying an Omega boar brush that I received in a PIF and have been alternating between that and the restored badgers.
Bear with me a bit as I learn this steward's role. As the new guy here, I'm probably not going to be able to answer all your questions, but I'll try my darndest to find someone who does have the answer. Most importantly, I'll be looking for input from you...how can we make B&B a better place? What can be changed to bring in more members? What information do you need? Are there any projects that we can start that would benefit the members? Feel free to contact me with any question or concern, either in a post or a PM, and I'll try my best to address your issues.
Thanks and happy shaving!
