What's new

Here Ye, Here Ye

Most of youse denizens of the nib know about the free Pen given by Scott Franklin for the March Colon Cancer awareness month.

It seems the winner (The Nid Hog) has turned down the won prize and asked us to auction it off.

So here's the deal.

I will leave this thread open for bids till 7:30 AM EDT tomorrow. Bid on the pen and if youse are the highest bidder at that time. You will make a donation to the "Saint" Sue fund at NBCF and Scott will ship youse the Pen.

The write up on the pen can be found here.

Okay guys Have at it !!!!

I never knew "Sue", since I'm new around here. But I do know 2 people who have been diagnosed with colon cancer recently, one during a "routine" colonoscopy. I think they got it in time. A good friend's son in law was hospitalized with a massive infection, due to a very big tumor blocking his colon. Having the full chemo / radiation / surgery treatment.

Add to that the wife of an employee with serious breast cancer (lost her job, can't work), an upside down mortgage (could loose the house) and a 3 year old who can't understand why mommy is so sick (but it looks like she'll make it). Another friend whose breast cancer just returned, for the 3rd time. A long time friend and employee now undergoing treatment for BC, but put the treatment off for months while her mother (who had beaten the BC) was passing away, and most recently a friend and neighbor also diagnosed with BC. I just heard that 19 of 20 lymph nodes checked were also cancerous. All great people.

Put me down for $100. Maybe it'll help. (that better be free shipping!)

Thanks to the Nib Hog (If Chris were more into collecting vintage nibs this would be a given title)

And I would like to congratulate Both The OP and the Winner of this thread. Two of the finest gentlemen the nib has in its area lol
