What's new

Here we go.

Welcome to B&B, Mike! I'm sure you will find this community of fine gentlemen to be a helpful (and sometimes entertaining) bunch! Everyone here is glad to help out, so don't be afraid to ask anything!

The Tech is quite commonly recommended as one's first DE razor due to its mild manners and consistent performance. Yet, when paired with the right blade, the Tech is capable of giving BBS results for even the toughest of beards!

Good luck in your wetshaving journey . . . be sure to check in and let us know how you are doing with your new Tech!

Those Gillette's are a very forgiving razor. I use them. And like the results. Take your time I bet you will like it too.

That explains why, when I hear of someone boiling a poor defenseless razor or soaking it in bleach, I act like Oscar the Grouch.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I was wondering what I might need to do to sanitize it. I'd like to keep it looking good.

Scrubbing bubbles is enough to sanitize but don't let the bubbles sit for more than a few minutes. Or, if you prefer, Dawn dish detergent and a toothbrush is all you will need.

Welcome to B&B.

One of the benefits of the 3 piece design is ease of cleaning when broken down. It's like washing silverware after dinner.
Many folks enjoy the Tech with a Feather blade.
Have fun and tell us how it goes.

That's funny, when I watch PBS at least four times a year for a week at a time they come on screen and beg for money. I guess I should renew my PBS membership and send them $100.

Well i got through my first shave with only a couple little nicks. I was surprised at how little pressure it takes to shave with one of these. I love it! And am already addicted. I think I may pass this razor on to my dad, who was born in 1954, and buy me another tech.

Shaved with a Wilkinson sword. A little tugging, but hardly no irritation. I cant wait to get good at this. And I figure this first shave was just the leveler. Had to remove a couple bumps before we can get that super smooth shave :biggrin1:

Thanks again for the info and welcome!
