Help me with brushes...

...right now I own an Omega Stripey brush. It cost me about $30 or so. I am curious what will be the difference of the Omega Stripey and the Simpson G3 Eagle Best Badger brush being mentioned above as a possible group buy? Not difference in price but performance. I have begun wondering what a "better" brush would be like. Can you help me out? Just trying to figure out if the difference in cost is worth it. I am very interested...

Well... The G3 will be huge. If you want a smaller brush, stay away from it. Far away.

If by performance, you mean ability to make and apply lather, there is no difference. As far as luxury, I love Simpsons Best Badger. It (in my opinion) far outstrips Rooney Super.

For trying it out on a budget, I say go for the Simpsons Case. It is a lot of brush for $56 as it rocks with soaps and creams, bowl and face lathering, and has a travel tube.

The Swiss Army Knife of brushes, in my opinion.

23mm is huge when you are selling off your 20mm brush because it's too big

There's no objective measure here. I think 23mm is probably on the big side of average, leaning toward "large" but "huge" to me is a 26mm Shavemac, for example.

It's bigger? That's good news for me. What other differences will there be? Softer? Backbone? Holding the lather?
