So here's my acquisition of the day from Sunday at a local antique store. Gillette TTO with no date code. Gold plated, in a case. The razor is in utter fantastic shape, almost no blemishes, came in a case (not nearly as great of shape).
So the up side, I paid $10.99 for this beauty, and it shaves wonderful (not quite my slant but still nice, needs cleaned after its run-in with Tallow this morning)
The down side, the picture sucks, but I can't identify it! I'm guessing its a 1948-1950 superspeed of sorts due to the lack of date code and notch on the center bar, but I can't find any that are gold plated with grooves running the length of the handle. Standard markings underneath, made in USA.
Any ideas??
