Help for a nib

Hi to you all and great Whishes for the New Year.

I am looking for a new nib for my Sheaffer's Balance, I mean the new model not the one with the filler.

I've looked in a lot of places, in Italy (where I live) and on the net too, but with no or poor results.

Anybody may help me?

Thank you very much and sorryy for my poor English

Hello Paco and welcome to B&B and the Nib!

Are you looking for a nib to fit a Balance II, the 1990's cartridge pen? If so, there were two types. Photo would be helpful.

Is the nib damaged or are you looking for a different size width?

Hi Nemo,

Thank you first of all.
Well I was looking for a new nib, because the one I got it's an Italic. I love that nib, and would like to keep it, but I cannot use it so much, so I would have the chance to change it with a medium or fine.
I think that bettter then my pics would work the link to the Sheaffertarga page......

It's not my only pen but I love it so much and I would like to have the chance to put in my usual turnover.

Thank you again
Ciao
Paolo

OK, it is a Balance II. I will look around here to find a possible source. Do you mind if it is two-tone? Some are, also the section may have a small gold ring.

Thank you Nemo, absolutely not. No problems if it's a two tone nib.
Here in Italy asked something like 150 USD just for the nib.......

I called my contact, she said that she does not have any spares now but that there are other pens, like the Connaisseur (gold 14K) and early old-style Viewpoints and No-Nonsense (steel nib) pens that have the same type fitment. Might I suggest you put a want-to-trade post at Fountain Pen Network.

Also, try Pendemonium, they have lots of Sheaffer parts.

$150 is too much! Good luck and I will continue looking.

Thank you so much Nemo!!!
When you told me about the No-Nonsense i remember that I have one, and it works!!!

Now I will look for a Connaisseur nib or I will try to modify one of nibs that I have.

Thank you very very much.
