Help! Blue Tipped Super Speed needs repair.

Hello all. I have received a blue tipped super speed and the Head of the razor has come apart from the handle. :frown:

My initial reaction was to apply some epoxy to the handle making sure not to get any on the mechanism that moves inside of the handle, and fixing the head back on that way.

The mechanism in this razor seems to be tight. When I turn the handle at the bottom there is a bunch of resistance. It may be full of soap?

Any recommendations for me?

Strange, same thing happened to me and on a blue tip super speed, too. I've been thinking about epoxying it, but I have not yet tried may hand at it. Must be a design flaw in this model.

The problem is that the handle is aluminum and does not bond as well with the nickel plated brass.

Actually, I just remembered that that part is supposed to be able to come apart. I knew I had seen it before and found the following thread. It is likely that the retaining screw in the handle is either loose or missing. I made a tool to remove these screws myself just in case I ever did want to disassemble one.

How do you disassemble a Gillette super speed
