Sometimes I'll be ready for a shave, and for whatever the reason I'll decide to use a DE for that shave. When I'm done and sometimes feel some rough spots, I'll use my straight for the cleanup. Kind of a backwards way of doing things, but has anyone else done this? I'll cleanup with either water or the Japanese Nanka after shave gel. Doing this routine makes for a very close, smooth shave.

Nope, never done this. Since I got my str8, my EJ89 just site in its stand collecting dust. I kind of few bad, but the str8 is more fun and gives me better shaves in less time. I was born to cut throat. I think that'll go in my sig.
