Have I found it?

After an extensive search through the world of DE razors, I think I have finally found the one for me in the humble Merkur HD. I have tried a lot of different Gillettes, and though all were great shaves, nothing compared in closeness or ease of use to the HD. I can't cut myself if I try, and I get BBS every time.

My question is, is this it? Is my RAD sated? I have contemplated trying a Merkur 1904, or an Ikon, or a Muhle-Pinsel, but is it worth it? Knowing my above preferences for an HD over all of the above, would you guys recommend that at this point I just be happy? Or should I go ever-forward?

I think the only one who can answer that is you!! My guess....more razors will find their way to your home.

If you are happy with the HD, stick with the HD. At least until you are sick of it.

You may think you have your RAD taken care of, but don't worry, it"ll pop back up again when you least expect it. I know, I thought I had mine done and over with, but I recently got a Merkur long handle HD, open comb. Just go along with it, you'll be fine.

I would recommend the 1904 very highly, its my go to razor.

If you are that happy with the Merkur HD....I see a Slant in your future. Glad you are having fun with this.

I would say that you are satisfied for now. For how long who knows. I always feel that I got the best dream team of razors only to find out later that I'm switching it up again.
