I've been a member of of this forum since April of this year, and this is post #1,000 for me. I'm not sure what that means, but here I am.
Its been a very interesting 7 months, and even though I'd been wet shaving for 2 or 3 months before I became a member here, my shaves really didn't improve until I became a member.
I guess I asked all the usual dumb questions when I first started, made the silly newbie mistakes, and probably made a fool of myself many times over. Time did pass, I learned, got better, technique improved and so did the shaves.
I bought lots of gear and tried many things. Some I really liked and some I couldn't stand. I got rid of some things through the B/S/T, and have my gear narrowed down to things I'm very comfortable with and enjoy using.
Through the time I've been a member here I've followed this forum closely, and have tried to be a regular poster. I've been privileged to receive help with problems I've encountered, from some very caring and knowledgeable members who took the time to explain what I was doing wrong, and offer ways to correct the problem. All done in a helpful manner without me being made to feel like an idiot.
This forum is a great place, a place where one can really get into this hobby of shaving. I thank those who created this forum, and the wonderful members that I've had contact with.
I don't mean to ramble on, but I guess I did. Thanks again, and here we go, on to 2,000.
Regards,
Paul
I don't care what people say, rock and roll is here to stay.
