Have any of you eaten badger?

According to Wikipedia, several cultures eat in, mostly in smaller amounts.

I am just curious, have any of you tried badger meat?

Eaten means swallowed, so no.
But I have had badger hair in my mouth after a few overly brisk "splays"

Anthony Bourdain ate it Vietnam on one episode of "No Reservations." I'd consider the guy a pretty adventurous eater and he didn't enjoy it. Enough for me to pass.

I seem to remember him eating porcupine in that episode, but not badger. Then again it's been awhile since I've seen that episode of "No Reservations".

Anyone who's been to China a few times on business has probably had the opportunity to do it. To avoid insulting my hosts, I've choked down pretty much everything there over the years - sea snake, pigeon, chicken feet, sea urchin, insects, you name it .

I would say that badger tastes like all the rest when you're holding breath and trying to swallow - a non-descript, meaty substance immediately followed by a BIG beer chaser! Then, of course, capped off by saying "That was so good, but I'm so full I can't eat another bite" :001_rolle
