Haslinger Marigold

Wow is that a small puck.
Wow is that a familiar, strong and slightly odd scent.
Wow did it make some nice lather with a very small amount of soap.

Haslinger is my favorite for "after shave face feel" but for the price, I'd rather have Mike's Natural, which is much cheaper per ounce and a close second for me on "after shave face feel". YMMV!

Coconut is the next for me to try. I'm going to save a dollar and not get the 'case' that it comes in.

After that, Sage. Sounds unlike anything else out there.

I bought all six varietals of Haslinger SS. So far so good, easy lather up, etc.
Ranking so far:
1. Coconut
2. Ringelblume (marigold)
3. Aloe
Still have yet to try
Sandalwood
Honey
Seaweed

I just shaved with the Coconut and it's a fantastic performer. I just don't care for the scent so I'll have to try some of the others.

I bought some Honey - Smells wonderful, but I'm failing to get a lot of lather. What method are you guys using to lather? I've bowl and face lathered. I do have quite a small brush, but that's never been a problem with proraso, spieck, palmolive, and others. I want to get this right....

Hope you can help.

Try loading longer. I get most of the water out the brush and then load for at least thirty seconds. The brush hairs should clump together. I face lather and add water a few drops at a time until I get what I want.

I just tried Haslinger for the first time--the marigold, specifically. Even with my hard water it lathered fast (35 seconds or so of loading with an HJM synthetic brush, two gentle shakes after thoroughly wetting the brush) and the lather was very rich. Great shave and skin care. Very impressive.
