Has anyone ever tried..?

Has anyone ever attempted to design and manufacture/get manufactured their own DE safety razor or safety razor handle? I just thought of this a second ago while looking at some engineering drawings at work today and figured it would be a lot of fun.

I plan to sit down on SOLIDWORKS tonight and see what I can come up with.

If anyone has tried, do you have any plans to get your design manufactured? I want to try and look for a company that will do CNC and milling work for a reasonable price. Of course I have no idea what would be a reasonable price and I figure that if I do try to get a complete razor manufactured, a five axis mill would be necessary and pricey for the work. But who knows?

Anyway, just though I would see if anyone has thought about it more than myself.

The only one I know of, mostly because I've only been a member for a handful of month, is in the actual vendors section. Tradere razors, it is owned and run here in the USA by a forum member named Richard sn Natchez.

There may be some more, but I do not know of them.
