Has anyone ever done this?

So the other night im getting on with my shave, when suddenly OUCH!. Some how passing the blade to the other hand I must have bearly touched the end of the end of the blade with my thumb. So a good cut for me, and the mental you idiot going on. :thumbdown

Oh heck ya. Especially if I don't have my contacts on I usually catch a piece of my finger while stretching the skin.

Yep - I've sliced my thumb twice and my index finger once. For me it has happened when oiling the blade or in one instance excessively fondling a freshly honed razor. My fingernails have saved me several cuts while stretching. It is amazing how fast razor cuts (even deep ones) heal.

Yup, and it wasn't that long ago...

When I am doing my last, touch-up pass I get some lather on my hand and run it over the touch-up areas in front of my razor. It's something I started doing with my DE shaves, and I have bumped my finger with the point of my straight razor a couple times already. I have been thankful it was a round point, and I'm going to stick with them until I know what I'm doing. :001_smile
