So this morning I was enjoying a cup of coffee and honing my razors getting ready for todays shave. I had another coffee cup full of water for dilutions. By the time I was on my second razor the water was a little grey from slurry and steel on my fingers getting transfered into the mug I was using for water. After this rigorous honing session I went to take a drink of my coffee to quench my thirst but instead of coffee I took a huge drink of slurry water. It was pretty gross. Who knows though maybe now I'll turn into the incredible hulk of coticule honing.
has anyone else ever done this?

I did the same thing. Drambuie gets sticky unless careful dilutions are followed.
You may stumbled upon the ultimate method of becoming one with the stone.
Maybe it will give you a smoother more comfortable exit on the way out?

I don't usually take drink or food while honing but it I did I"m certain that very thing would happen to me!!!

i almost did it the other day with the glass of soapy water i keep on the table for keeping the hone wet.......
got it to my lips and smelled dawn dishwashing detergent....
thought i had gotten away with it but she saw me..... sigh....

I learned a long time ago that I need to have a top on whatever I'm drinking. Always 
that's a new one 4 me.
