hardware question - metal blade case

So, is there any special name for those metal blade cases from old kits? they look kind of like thin Zippos, but hold fresh blades in your Dopp kit, or what have you.

I've been trying to search online for a source and want to make sure I'm calling them rightly.

If anyone already has a source for those things, lemme know, vintage or otherwise!

Most of the time they are called a blade case, blade holder or spare razor case/holder...

Does it have to be metal (i.e., vintage)? 'Cause a fair number of blades come in plastic versions of those.

Good info! I'd prefer a metal one for long-term but it's definitely not necessary right now if they come in plastic ones. thanks!!

I found mine on eBay using "Vintage Blade Case" as a search.. I think it came to about $6 with shipping.

I just received a vintage one from e-bay & got it cleaned up ($6.00). Have to unwrap the blades to get them to fit, so I may have just wasted 6 big ones

hmmm...so the older ones may not be practical, hmm...?

Well, I heard they also double as a match case.

Yeah, same here. It works if you put them at an angle, but doesn't hold nearly as many. I bought it for the looks anyway, not sure I'd carry it.
